Fighting intensifies in Yemen as airports and oil facilities are targeted

Xinhua reports attacks around Hadramout and competing accounts of a drone incident in Saudi Arabia.

Missile and drone attacks around airports and oil infrastructure in southeastern Yemen have intensified, while a separate drone incident at a Saudi oil field killed two people and exposed conflicting accounts of who was responsible.

A local security official said attacks targeted areas near the Al-Dhabba oil terminal and Al-Rayan International Airport in Hadramout. Explosions were reported at the airport, but no immediate casualty figure was available.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Sarea claimed responsibility for an operation at Al-Rayan, saying military equipment had been targeted. He did not provide evidence for that assertion.
